The P210 identifies the station wagon version of the VOLVO 544. Could have been named "545" but they decided to follow the new VOLVO nomenclature introduced in 1961. The 544 2 door model was renamed the 110 and the wagon the 210. The 210 looks much like the 544 but it is actually quite different in its design. The 544 is a unit body car, the 210 uses a separate frame and body design, so most body panels like doors and fenders are not the same. Also the rear suspension is specific to the 210.
